Today was a track day at the hungarian F1 circuit, so filmed this 4AGE blacktop with freshly installed ZDoman made stacks. Sounds promising.
2JZGTE AE86 in Hungaroring 2010 04 05
The 2JZGTE AE86 monster visit the hungarian F1 track. It's 160km from it's homebase Kunfeherto, quite a trip for the first public appearence. Driven by the girlfriend of the builder, so big thumbs up for them! (She said it's real scary on the motorway, enough just to think about the throttle, and it goes like hell. )

Anyone from 2024?
This is invaluable information
you get more stiffness if flanging the holes on the brackets
Anyone know where I can get a higher definition version, currently attempting to copy the work and kit

Would love to know that undercoating. I have a 2002 tacoma 5spd. its rusting away and nearly split in half. it was real bad. I took off the bed, shot it clean and welded new steel. I got it in 2012 and I still have it. The ONLY thing i replaced was a master cyclinder and and o2 sensor. 9 years and still climbing. From 90k to up to about 135k miles now. Still going strong. and I beat the shit outta it hauling and towing way to much. It just wont die and I wouldn't drive anything else
Super
chasis is good for 330km/h now

Can u tell me how u wired your alternator?
Is that my car Nani?
anyone care to guess if the reinforcements are 16 gauge or 18 gauge?
18 or 20

Megvan még a paripa?
how do they know which part needed reinforcement? just guessing?
What a basket case... was it really worth saving this shell? Are AE85/86 really so rare even in Japan?
Jan Kuratczyk you're really ignorant or you really don't know shit, that shell probably goes for 3K in Japan alone, a full AE86 in Japan costs about 30K now in days.
I think that was Tsuchiya's personal car in the first place so he wanted to save it. Plus TRD wouldn't put their tuning into a stock shell even if it was like new. This car got invested more than 100 000 $ in the last 20 years. Now it has all carbon fibre bodywork and it has changed 2-3 engines tuned to the max by the best engine builders in Japan
@@Cricis11700 that's some damn bull shit and you know it.
:-):-):-)
only the drift king could request a job this big (it cost $19,000 USD)
Dracule Mihawk 、
if youlaern how to weld easy peasy
Marco the Phoenix how do you know?
@@caseysmith7094 Haha its not easy
IM doing this to my 86 but im not going as far as taking the windows out. only spot welding the floorboards
cover the glass with something thick, the welding sparks can embed in the glass
=') yes.... 👍
u know who have the full video ??
well the metal is cheap. so if you have a welder then just time. its a bitch to do. i like to slowly do this stuff when i feel like working on my car but dont have money for much for than wire, gas and metal. but then again i cant do much more till my motors out again
If the Japanese are saying takai, (which means expensive btw), it's ridiculously expensive to a person in the US. I'm sure people would turn to the other cheek because they would rather do something else to the car to make it faster.
XtremeCarTuner Not if you're speaking about us in California or the other idiot Yanks in the east coast. We make big money compared to the center of the US.
I'm pretty sure that's Tsuchiya-san's 86. I think all AE86 drivers are jealous of it. It is a shining example of what we strive for in a street focused car.
yes
If you think about it, people in japan do this every day with there cars .. :(
Sooo jealous of the owner of this 86
Keiichi Tsuchiya
get an aw11 they're superior
27 USD
even just all of those new window seals were probably like 2k+ lol
So you're basically saying an arm and maybe a leg? lolz.
@@nickaron007 you would trade your arm for 2k?
thousands, respray alone is $2.5-3,000 (US) and the chassis work is another ~2500. End result is pretty amazing, cheaper if DIY
tojodaa aee eitiisix chasiis wook!
This is why I taught myself to weld, saved me THOUSANDS in labor costs, kept my car alive, AND made the frame stronger
I learned tig in high school. I use it every so often. Had to weld my 02 tacoma 2.4l 5spd back togeather. The rust was horrific and it nearly split in half. Flexing when accelerating. Use 3/16 steel plates everywhere. "Rust though that, bitch!" had it since 2012. I went through the mountains of utah heat and colorado blizzard. Literally hell and back. Way over the towing and hualing limit for a small 4 cylinder and it just doesn't die (battery has occasionally lol) I will always drive japanese. I even got a Isuzu box truck for a rv conversion im working on. The diaphram vaccum pump just went out and wont do much luckily i found a half of new one for it. Welding has helped me tremendously and I couldn't recomend it enough. I have mastered Mig then done stick and fencing and mastered it for a farm (6010). I still cant find the right settings for TIG alum and its just impossible, I have tried everything.
Just remember: rust is lighter than carbon fiber.

didnt understand a word but you have to admire their craftmanship. JDM FTW
this is so mint compared to mine

hay there do you guys have any pics on the way ya set the mounts and crossmember?
TRD team awesome !!!
duh
What he did is spot welding, and additional chassis bracing on stress points.
